"Roof Over Your Head" is the second original painting in my trauma series. It is about a parent or parents thinking that all they need to provide you with is shelter. This is about neglectful and abusive parents, not just about them thinking that a roof is enough for a child. It depicts a literal roof with a window that has no glass and lets the sky peek through. There is grass underneath because all they are giving you is a roof remember? The chimney was an added touch to really show how there COULD be heat, this COULD be a livable home, if only there was walls, insulation, floors, and firewood to go with it.
